Main Responsibilities:
-Support the development and implementation of digital apps to manage our client and affiliate workflows
-Create and implement automated workflows using Zapier, Active Campaign and other software as required
-Use programming languages to develop, maintain, and enhance applications for the business
-Conduct quality assurance testing of digital apps and automations
-Act as internal network support service provider by troubleshooting application and data issues, and responding to support requests
-Research and evaluate advances in digital technology in anticipation of evolving business needs
-Collect, understand, and analyze data to communicate the performance of our client portfolio using digital accounting and reporting tools
Requirements:
-Organized and experienced with software and digital productivity tools (such as Zapier, HubSpot, Asana, Zoom, Slack, LastPass, Eventbrite, Mailchimp, DocuSign, Google Suite, Active Campaign).
-Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, C++, Ruby on Rails, and more
-Working knowledge in one or more general-purpose programming languages
-Clear communicator with the ability to convey information to a wide range of stakeholders including entrepreneurs (C-Suite), accounting professionals, and service providers.
-Analytical skills including research, discovery, analysis, and starting to develop integrated decision-making skills.
-You may have experience working in a technology startup or working in a customer service role in a tech-oriented organization
-Passionate about technology startups, financial services or management consulting
Skills and Education:
You have an undergraduate degree and 1-2 years of professional digital experience working in an entrepreneurial setting, consulting firm, professional services/advisory firm, or financial institution.
This position is funded through the Innovation Science and Economic Development Canada’s Digital Skills For Youth Program. Please confirm that the following applies to you:
- You are 30 years of age or under
- You are a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or protected refugee
- You are NOT a current student (i.e. you have recently graduated)
Start Date: As soon as possible
Wage: $18-20/hr
Hours per week: 30-40 hours per week
