Evaluating Alignment: Not Just Metrics, but Mindsets

True regeneration begins with relationships. Do your suppliers prioritize the well-being of their workers, honour Indigenous land rights, or invest in the resilience of their local communities? Are they engaging in decarbonization efforts and decolonization practices? Are their commitments to equity, care, and planetary health embedded in the way they operate – not just in what they say?

Look for third-party certifications, yes – but also go deeper and review their Environmental Management System (EMS) or ESG policies, and ask how these values show up in real-time decisions. Transparency should invite accountability, but should also invite conversation.

Consider vendors not only for their capabilities but for their contribution to a regenerative economy – one that honours life, nurtures reciprocity, and puts people and planet before pure profit.
